Rangers have removed a souvenir photo of their 7-1 Champions League thrashing at the hands of Liverpool from their website amid a backlash from fans.
The 30×11 framed panoramic print of a pre-match Ibrox wrapped before the defeat was on sale to fans as a memorabilia from the club’s official online store for £50.
It was alongside similar footage from last season’s Europa League final and tributes from Ibrox to the Queen and Sandy Jardine.
The scoreline against Jurgen Klopp’s English Premier League giants in October represented Rangers’ heaviest defeat in any competition since the 1957 League Cup final loss to Celtic and their heaviest at Ibrox.
It was also part of a campaign that ultimately saw the Ibrox side record a record Champions League group stage points and goal difference tally.
A screenshot of the item for sale was posted on social media on Monday, leading a series of fans to wonder why anyone would want to commemorate such a forgettable night for Glasgow’s blue side.
And on Tuesday, the photo was nowhere to be found on the website.
Gers have fallen nine points behind Celtic with two draws and one defeat in their last five league games before the World Cup break, putting pressure on manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst.
