Ram Revolution electric truck shows its face in teaser video

We’re less than a month away from seeing Ram’s new full-size electric pickup truck. Or rather, we are getting closer to seeing a concept of the future production model. The Ram Revolution makes its debut in early January, but a new teaser video from Ram offers a little glimpse of the face of the truck right now.

Towards the end of this one-minute video posted on social media, we are treated to a brief glimpse of the Revolution concept’s grille, or rather the lack thereof. Without a Hemi V8 to power, the space is taken up by prominent RAM branding, flanked by LED daytime running lights surrounding the headlights. The truck shown in the video appears to be a full-scale clay model, but the design matches other recent Ram teasers showing the outline of the lights and the glowing badge.

Ram debuted the Revolution teaser train over a year ago, but in that time we’ve seen very little of the truck. Also, the initial teasers don’t quite match the later ones. The bold LED outlines of the headlights didn’t show up in the initial design sketches, but we believe this new video represents a final form of the concept.

As for the rest of the truck, from what we’ve seen, it will take a similar direction to the Chevrolet Silverado EV versus the F-150 Lightning. While Ford’s award-winning EV pickup looks a lot like a normal F-150, the Silverado EV is a significant departure from combustion models. The cabin and bed form a single monocoque, with the windscreen further forward and a shortened, rounded bonnet at the front. Technically speaking, it’s now a frunk since it will be relegated to storage. Or rather, we assume it will. There are electric vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz EQC that simply seal off the area.

We already know exactly when the Ram Revolution BEV concept will make its debut. A special event takes place on January 5 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas. In the meantime, check out the ride on cars podcast for the latest automotive EV news and more, available below.
