March 4, 2020, Indianapolis – Ram Commercial today unveiled the Ram ProMaster 2021 at the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Work Truck Show® in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Aimed at one of the largest categories of commercial customers – for professional use – the Ram ProMaster 2021 is a robust full-size pickup designed for businesses, construction sites and commercial fleets.

“Ram Commercial was established in 2014, and our full-size van customers have benefited from Ram’s benchmark durability since,” said Reid Bigland, brand manager, Ram. “Ram Commercial continues to focus only on trucks and commercial vehicles, which gives us confidence in the people who work hard every day, regardless of their area of work.”

New in 2021 and debuting on an FCA vehicle, an exclusive digital rearview mirror option is available to replace the traditional rearview mirror with a 9.2-inch wide LCD screen.

The digital rear view mirror displays real-time video from a rear-facing camera and can be turned off to return to a traditional reflective mirror. The digital mirror is available on all ProMaster models and offers a clear rear view which improves safety and prevents accidents during work.

Crosswind Assist is now standard equipment on all Ram ProMaster 2021 models and helps the driver keep the vehicle stable, even when gusts of wind are trying to push the vehicle out of its path.

ProMaster now offers several safety options available, including blind spot with low beam, forward collision warning with emergency brake assist and mood / courtesy lights.

Blind spot monitoring with crossing detection is an available option and alerts the driver when vehicles enter the ProMaster blind spot. Available on ProMaster cargo vans, blind spot monitoring improves safety and reduces total cost of ownership by avoiding collision repairs, downtime and increased insurance premiums.

The forward collision warning with emergency brake assist is an available option and applies partial braking to mitigate the collision and increase the driver’s time to react to the impending collision. Available on all ProMaster models, the forward collision alert with emergency brake assist reduces the total cost of ownership by avoiding collision repairs, downtime, lost productivity and income, and reduces risk of responsibility.

Mood / courtesy lights are available when packaged on all ProMaster models and enhance the lower interior lighting with LEDs for customers who use ProMaster as a mobile office and for developers as well.

The Ram ProMaster 2021 is available in 18 different wheelbase and roof height configurations and features the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine paired with a proven six-speed automatic transmission. All ProMaster models come with a category-exclusive front-wheel drive system.

ProMaster includes the best features in its class such as standard V6 horsepower, turning radius, standard interior loading height, loading floor height, loading width between wheel arches and maximum loading width.

Pricing for the 2021 Ram ProMaster will be announced closer to when the vehicle is available later this summer.

Ram ProMaster

The ProMaster is Ram Commercial’s entry into the Class 2 full-size van segment. The 2020 Ram ProMaster van has an exclusive front-wheel drive system, reducing weight and complexity by locating all components under the cab. This keeps the height of the loading floor and the height of the steps very low, which is an excellent ergonomic feature for the person getting in and out of the van all day. It also helps in low traction surfaces, such as snow, as there is always weight on the front wheels to provide traction. The result is a specially designed and highly customizable van designed to exceed the requirements of commercial customers and developers.
