Launched ten years ago in June 2010 during the PlayStation 3 era, Sony is now celebrating 10 years of PlayStation Plus by offering its loyal subscribers a free PlayStation Store credit.
Sony is offering a $ 10 free credit to at least some PlayStation Plus subscribers. There is no need to use a code or do anything on your part; credit, if received, will be automatically assigned to you and will remain in your PlayStation Wallet. “Thank you for choosing PlayStation Plus,” read the company’s notification message.
It is not clear exactly what the requirements are to receive the free $ 10 credit. Some at GameSpot received the credit, while others did not. We have contacted Sony for clarification on this matter. To check if you have received the birthday gift, you can view your account profile on the official PlayStation Store by logging in and clicking on your profile icon at the top right of the page.
Also to celebrate the 10th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, the company is giving away a free theme to any PlayStation user. You can download it directly from PlayStation Store.
Although July is almost over, this month’s free PlayStation Plus games are still up for grabs. This time around you can download Erica, NBA 2K20 and Rise of the Tomb Raider for free.
