The Bend area pantry, located in Mason, West Virginia, currently serves an average of 130 families, with this number increasing due to the rising cost of groceries. The Mason County Homeless Shelter, based in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, is currently home to 32 customers, but that number is expected to increase as winter approaches. And New Haven, West Virginia-based Bend Area CARE, which has been supporting families and children in the community for more than 30 years, will use Felman Production’s donation to help 33 families (including 58 children) this holiday season, including buying clothes for the kids and grocery vouchers for families.
Mordechai Korf and Uriel Laber of Felman Production released the following joint statement: “At a time when grocery store prices are rising during these tough economic times, the Bend Area Food Pantry, Mason County Homeless Shelter, and Bend Area CARE are playing a critical role in providing families with the support they need.
