As we all know, Netflix’s Drive to Survive has attracted a massive influx of sports fans. The show took the sport to the United States, where it was quite less popular before that. How can we forget the success of the Miami Grand Prix which again showed how America has embraced F1 with open arms?
Following a similar path to Netflix, Apple Studios, along with Top Gun: Maverick: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, will soon release a Formula 1 film. The film would star Oscar winner Brad Pitt with Lewis Hamilton as one of the producers.
Hamilton joined in this effort to ensure the film was made as authentic as possible. He also assured fans that he would have a review of the film’s final cut.
Speaking of this $50 million production, in an interview with Vanity Fair, Lewis Hamilton said: “To hear the BS that’s in the script because the Americans who write it are just getting used to Formula 1”
Hamilton will also arrange Mercedes factory tours for Pitt and the film’s director.
