Pricing for the 2023 Subaru Ascent starts at $35,120, nearly $50,000 in top trim


In June, Subaru announced the 2023 Ascent with a minor facelift and new features. Now we have pricing for the entire Ascent line, and the MSRP starts at $33,895. Once the mandatory destination fee of $1,225 is included, the total entry-level cost is $35,120.

At that price, you’ll get the base Ascent with seating for eight passengers and a comfortable array of features like tri-zone climate control, rear camera, 18-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights and no less. 19 cup holders throughout the interior. Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist technology is also standard, and on the Ascent, which includes the automaker’s wide-angle mono camera. Further technologically, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.

Subaru offers the Ascent in six trim levels for 2023, including a new Onyx Edition that sits between the Premium and Limited trims. Starting at $42,520, it offers two seats in the center row instead of three for seven passengers. You’ll also get more standard equipment, including features like power heated seats for some passengers, navigation, and 20-inch black wheels. It sports a special Onyx badging and black trim on the outside, and if you want more functionality, the Onyx comes in a limited specification. You will pay for it though, as the Onyx Limited starts at $47,520.

The Ascent Touring is the flagship of the lineup, sitting just above the Onyx Limited. Starting at $49,420, it’s decked out in leather on the inside, exclusive black and satin chrome trim on the outside, and it’s equipped with surround-view cameras, multimedia navigation, Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
