PressReader to Become the Magazine’s Exclusive Digital Distributor Worldwide to Public Libraries, Hotels, Aviation, Navy and Healthcare
VANCOUVER, BC, December 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – The Economist and PressReader today announce an expansion of their strategic partnership to further broaden the publication’s digital distribution and increase group subscriptions. The ongoing and deep partnership helps PressReader fulfill its mission to empower and enrich inquisitive minds by putting a universe of quality content at their fingertips.
The initial partnership of the two parties was first announced in February 2022with The Economist join PressReader’s growing content catalog. As part of the expanded partnership agreement, PressReader will become the exclusive third-party distributor of digital replicas of The Economist, in the public library, hotel industry, aviation, navy and health spaces. PressReader will also help drive adoption of group subscriptions across these verticals for the magazine’s digital products and content, including economic.com and The Economist and Espresso apps, providing more opportunities for increased readership and additional monetization. By leveraging PressReader’s network of business partners in these channels, The Economist will be able to extend its reach to millions of readers worldwide.
