It has been a continuous battle all season between these three teams and they have broken away from the others to compete for the trophy.

With only a few points separating them, there are plenty of twists and turns still to come before they get their hands on some silverware.

Here, talkSPORT.com takes a look at the title race…

Arsenal- 1st

Arsenal will have relived memories of last season after a damaging defeat against Aston Villa at the Emirates.

The Gunners seemed to be going from strength to strength, but they lost their grip on the title race against Villa.

Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a collapse last year and they will be keen to prevent that from happening again.

But as things stand, the title is now Man City’s to lose.

They bounced back from that defeat, however, and back-to-back wins put them at the top of the table once again.

This puts them in a strong position, but their rivals have games in hand and are therefore counting on them to make mistakes.

Arsenal have arguably the toughest fixture on paper, having to face Tottenham and Man United away in their last four games.

And that could ultimately make the difference…

Liverpool – 2nd

Liverpool have also slipped in the Premier League title race.

The Reds were top not so long ago but are now in danger of falling to third place.

With Jurgen Klopp leaving at the end of the season, they are desperate to finish on a high.

But their defeat against Crystal Palace could have a huge impact on them ahead of the final games of the season.

They have bounced back from that defeat, but they still have tough games against Everton, West Ham, Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Liverpool were also facing Europa League games, but they were knocked out by Atalanta and that could prove to be a blessing.

Klopp’s side can now focus on the title race and the team’s passion to end their manager’s reign is likely to push them on for the rest of the campaign.

Manchester City – 3rd

Man City are used to this type of title race and have already benefited from the slip-ups of their rivals.

Pep Guardiola’s side usually win in a pressure situation and after winning a historic treble last season, they clearly know how to step up.

This trophy-winning experience once again proves crucial for City who are now two points clear at the top of the table.

It’s in their hands and their final games will please them, playing just one more ‘Big Six’ team in Tottenham until the end of the season.

City have also been knocked out of the Champions League, meaning they will focus entirely on the Premier League.

And that is dangerous for their fellow title contenders, with Guardiola not having to rotate and being able to use his biggest stars every week.
