Premier League record Liverpool can still beat with victory over Bournemouth despite unbeaten hopes ending at Watford

Liverpool have suffered a rare form slump since the winter break, losing three of their last four games, but can claim a high-level English record with a victory on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s team has been beaten by Atletico Madrid, Watford and Chelsea in three separate competitions.

Jurgen Klopp can see his Liverpool team break a high-flying English record

The 3-0 defeat to Watford in the Premier League canceled out the Reds’ chances of breaking multiple records.

Their winning streak ended at Vicarage Road, which means they did not exceed Man City’s 18 successive wins.

It also prevented them from matching the Arsenal Invincibles in 2003/04 and improving their record 49 game unbeaten streak, which ended at 44.

However, Liverpool, undefeated in 54 home games, can end their two straight defeats by facing Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday, with commentary on the match live on talkSPORT.

Liverpool fan worries Jurgen Klopp’s team may not win Premier League title after winter crisis

If they beat the Cherries, they will win 21 consecutive Premier League home victories, which will set a new all-time record in the English elite.

The odds seem to be in favor of the Reds, as they have only lost five points all season, in 28 games, and are still leading the game by 22 points.

They have also won their last five Premier League games against Bournemouth by a total score of 17-0.
