LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Katy Perry, singer and pop star, stopped by the Louisville Zoo and hung out with some furry friends.
The zoo posted on social media that it was “smitten” to meet the American Idol judge during a visit in April.
Perry dressed in a khaki jumpsuit with her hair covered in a bandana as she met Simon the black-footed penguin and Sebastian the sloth. She also walked around the “Wild Lights” exhibit.
We are dazzled! @Katy Perry visited the Louisville Zoo while in town. Our little penguin, Simon, and the sloth, Sebastian, had a close encounter. Katy also wandered into Wild Lights! If you visited in April you may have walked with a true pop icon.❤️ pic.twitter.com/9y7suvgyTb

Perry revealed on Chelsea Handler’s “Dear, Chelsea” podcast last week that she lives in Kentucky. She called it an “incredible experience” of living outside of the Hollywood “bubble”.
“I’m like living in Kentucky, and I’ve had it for almost a month now,” Perry said. “And it’s a pretty amazing experience, because it reminds you that Hollywood isn’t America.”
