Rapper Polo G was arrested in Miami last night, according to report released today of Variety. Through social media posts of the Chicago musician’s mother, Stacia Mac – who alleged her son was arrested for “driving in black” – the Hall of fame rapper was arrested by police on his way to the new album release party at an after-party on Friday evening.
The Miami Herald Remarks that Polo G has apparently been accused of “battery on a policeman, criminal mischief, and resist arrest with violence, ”with bail on charges totaling $ 19,500. The police report alleges that Polo G struggled with the officer who was trying to stop him and shouted threats after his arrest. Mom says in video Miami police did not cooperate when they tried to find out on the status of the rapper, or that of his 16-year-old younger brother, who was also in the car with him when they were arrested.
The news of the arrest comes after a string of successes for Polo G, which marked his No.1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 back in April with his new single “Rapstar”.
