Piers Morgan has slammed ‘fat sulky’ Naomi Osaka who suggested she might opt out of Wimbledon this year.
The Talk TV host took to social media after the Japanese star suggested taking part in the illustrious competition this year would be a “useless” endeavor.
Osaka’s decision comes after an announcement by the ATP and WTA, the men’s and women’s circuits, to downsize the tournament.
This is due to ranking points being removed from the competition in response to the All England Club’s banning of Russian and Belarusian players amid the war in Ukraine.
Fresh off of her French Open first round loss to Amanda Anisimova, the 24-year-old opened up about her time at SW19 and revealed she thinks she’ll struggle to get motivated.
The four-time Grand Slam champion said: “I would say the decision kind of affects my mentality of going to the grass, like I’m not 100 per cent sure if I’m going to go.
“I would love to go there just to get experience on the grass, but at the same time, for me, it’s kind of like – I don’t mean useless, no pun intended – but I’m kind of player who is motivated by, like, seeing my ranking go up or stuff like that.
“So I think the intention was really good, but the execution is all over the place.

“I don’t know why, but I feel like if I play Wimbledon without points, it’s more like an exhibition. I know that’s not true, right? But my brain feels like that Whenever I think something looks like an exhibition, I just can’t go 100%.
“I haven’t even made up my mind yet, but I’m leaning more towards not playing given the current circumstances. But, you know, that could change.
If Osaka weren’t to participate, that would be good riddance as far as Morgan is concerned.
Morgan tweeted in response to an article quoting Osaka: “Awesome! Anyway, we don’t want this sulky kid.
