And so it’s no wonder Paul Mescal appeared in high spirits this week at a rowdy party in London.
The actor, 27, was joined by close friend and former Normal People co-star India Mullen for the evening as they shared a sweet hug.
Enjoying a pub crawl through the capital, Irish star Paul showed off his dance moves while surrounded by pals for the merry night of drinking.
He kept his look casual with a pair of black wide leg pants with an oversized plain t-shirt, layering a gray hoodie on top.

Keeping his hood over his tousled brown hair, Paul added a gray tweed coat over the top while opting for a pair of black Adidas Gazelle trainers.
The acclaimed actor slung a black backpack over one shoulder while keeping his cellphone in one hand.
And by his side stood his friend India, who wore light blue jeans with a cropped tank top and matching cardigan.
The actress starred alongside Paul on the hit show Normal People of 2020, which catapulted him to fame.
Paul took on the role of main man Connell in the series as he played the role of Marianne’s love interest, the character of Daisy Edgar Jones, while India portrayed the character of Peggy.
Appearing to celebrate after finishing his stint as Stanley in London playing A Streetcar Named Desire, Paul partied in Islington until the early hours.
Heading to local pubs such as The Old Queens Head and The Kings pub, Paul was in jovial mood as he danced outside the venue.

The actor is said to have “always been” director Ridley Scott’s choice for the role.
However, he wouldn’t play Maximus, the Roman general-turned-gladiator who won Russell Crowe an Oscar in the original.
Russell’s titular gladiator, who was killed at the end of the film, has yet to be signed on for the film, but fans are of course hoping he returns for a flashback scene.
Paul’s character is believed to be Lucius verus, who was played by Spencer Treat Clark in the original was also the evil nephew Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).
While the new role comes as he also got a coveted Oscar nod, earning a Best Actor nomination for his role in the movie Aftersun.

He received high praise for his role in the Charlotte Wells-directed film released last year where he plays 30-year-old single father Calum.
Aftersun tells the story of a young girl named Sophie, played by Frankie Corio, who reflects on the shared joy and private melancholy of the vacation she took with her father twenty years earlier.
In a statement after the announcement, he said, “This is truly a special moment for everyone involved with Aftersun.” To be recognized by the Academy is an insane honor and I am extremely grateful.

Paul’s latest good news comes after he was also nominated for a BAFTA for the same role.
He won a British Academy Television Award for Best Actor in 2021 for his role as Connell in Normal People.
Paul joins other UK and Irish nominees Colin Farrel, Bill Nighy and Andrea Riseborough, who were nominated in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories.
The Academy Awards, which will be hosted by American talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

While his career is booming, Paul reportedly split from his girlfriend of over two years Phoebe Bridgers at the end of 2022.
The couple have never confirmed their separation, Phoebe wrote about “standing alone” and seemed to refer to a fight between a couple.
The couple’s fans were quick to share their shock at the alleged split as they took to Twitter to share their upset, saying they “couldn’t handle” the news.
Taking to Twitter to react to the apparent split, one fan wrote: ‘I saw Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal trending on Twitter and I was so excited and god damn I’ve never been so down in all my life after clicking on their names.’
