PIANIST SALVADORE LIBERTO WILL PERFORM AT THE EAST BANK REGIONAL LIBRARY ON MARCH 1
JEFFERSON, THE – Pianist Salvadore Liberto will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon Avenue, Metairie.
Liberto, a native of New Orleans, has been writing, recording and performing original music for 30 years. He has released four studio albums and has performed at numerous performing arts centers, theaters, cafes and colleges across the United States. He says his repertoire consists of “bluesy pieces, rich ballads and everything in between”. He will perform some of Elton John’s hits.
Liberto’s March 1 concert marks his third performance at the West Bank Regional Library.
He has also performed at the Mint in New Orleans, the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas, and Mary C O’Keefe Hall in Ocean Springs.
From Grammy-winning producer John Snyder: “In this group of songs, there are melodies that you won’t be able to forget, feelings that won’t fade or dissipate. It’s not because they’re easy and logical and simple, but because of their effect, their hope, their uplifting Let them uplift you, let them neutralize your cynicism, let them lighten your burden and lessen your doubt, let them remind you that love is abundant in this world and that we are never far from it.
By Lawrence F. Specker, Mobile press register: “There is often a fine line between entertainment and inspiration. Sal Liberto is not afraid of his ambition to ride it.
From Jan Bixler, Trustee, Unity Church Gulfport: “When I asked Sal to come to Unity Church in Gulfport to address our congregation, I had a general idea of what his message and music would be. What I didn’t know was that his sincere belief system would mirror ours in our non-denominational church here on the Gulf Coast. His message was timeless and inspired. And then there is his music! Sal’s musical style, excellent piano playing and wonderful lyrics are an absolute joy. We can’t wait for her return to deliver a witty message and entertain in her fresh, delicious style.
From folksinger Livingston Taylor: “Sal is a nightmarish act to watch.”
