Phil Foden becomes indispensable to Pep Guardiola as he scored the winner of Man City’s Premier League win over Brighton.
The 20-year-old dazzled the Seagulls on Wednesday night by scoring the first half – and becoming City’s top scorer this season with eight goals in all competitions.

Foden is now Man City’s top scorer this season
Foden seems to be making an impact in every game he plays at the moment and his midfield goal tally is quite remarkable considering almost half of his Premier League appearances this season have come from the bench.
It also underlines City’s need for a new striker with Guardiola again choosing to play without a recognized leader with Gabriel Jesus from the bench.

Kevin De Bruyne now has 14 assists in all competitions
But that doesn’t seem to be holding them back at the moment as they moved up to third place with a 1-0 regulatory victory.
City had the best of the first half and Foden gave them a deserved lead just before the break.
The versatile midfielder broke through Brighton’s defense and struck with a low shot from the edge of the box.
The England international posed challenges for the visitors all evening – including a dazzling skill to evade two Brighton players.
City went nearly a second just ahead of the hour as Ilkay Gundogan forced a good save from Robert Sanchez. The rebound fell on Bernardo Silva, who turned and struck a blow against the woodwork.
Joao Cancelo also had the opportunity to wrap up the points, but took the shot straight at Seagulls goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
De Bruyne won a penalty in the dying minutes of the game just after being hit by Sanchez, but Raheem Sterling blasted his kick over the bar.
