Em made headlines earlier this year, after angrily retaliating after resisting public backlash for an apparent violation of coronavirus lockdown rules in WA.

She sparked outrage online when she uploaded an Instagram photo of her Apple Watch following a 7.33-mile coastal walk, just one day after government-imposed stay-at-home orders. Western Australia.

Perth was put into five-day lockdown in January after a security guard at a quarantine hotel contracted a highly contagious UK variant of the virus.

Popular Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck was quick to spot the apparent lockdown violation and shared the photo with its 99,400 followers, sparking outrage online against the self-proclaimed YouTuber.

The online backlash elicited an angry backlash from Emily, who insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong or broken the lockdown rules.

She fought back online to set the record straight for her 373,000 followers and said there was a simple explanation as to why her march took over an hour.

She also said that the Instagram story of her Apple Watch, which was later deleted, was taken out of context.

“This morning, I did my hourly exercise outside of the house. It did not last more than an hour and was within the authorized radius of 5 km (3.5 km round trip), ”she wrote.

The influencer is no stranger to controversy online.

Emily shared a video joke of herself on Instagram last year following a New Years Eve rally, where she pretended to snort white powder with friends.

In the footage, she was seen lifting a non-illegal substance from a small piece of paper to her nose, guided by a small metal spoon.

The influencer was then seen mocking the camera, before saying, “Yeah, boys!”

It is understood that the video was recorded as a private and personal joke and that Ms Davies was not doing anything illegal at the time.
