Perrie Edwards revealed that Little Mix had to postpone the release of their new album due to the coronavirus crisis.
The 26-year-old singer also said the group of girls – made up of Perrie, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – had to cancel their clip in Brazil amid the global pandemic.
Talking to Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart Radio on Friday, Perrie spoke about the new single from Little Mix called Break Up Song and their decision to release it now.

Said, “ I think with this single, I think we didn’t want to push it away because we just wanted the world to hear it, that’s why we released it now, because we l love it so much and I feel like it’s a good positive uplifting song.
“It’s just what people need right now, but with the album, I think we’re going to have to postpone it, yes.”
Perrie added that the group should be able to release the album in late summer or early fall.

Speaking of their canceled clip in Brazil, she continued: ‘Yeah well it was supposed to be our second single, the clip we were going to do in Brazil.

Earlier this month, the group flew to Brazil for a concert with Perrie forced to withdraw due to illness.
