Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey flee the apocalypse in The Haunting "The last of us" Trailer

HBO is finally giving viewers a look at its long-awaited series “The Last of Us.” On September 26, HBO Max released the terrifying trailer for the new doomsday adventure.

“The Last of Us,” based on the award-winning hit video game series of the same name, stars both “Game of Thrones” alums Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey (although their characters Oberyn Martell and Lyanna Mormont , have never interacted). Pascal’s Joel is tasked with smuggling Ramsey’s Ellie through a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infected United States. In the trailer, they face many dangers – and not just infected, zombie-like humans.

In an interview with GQ in April, Pascal revealed that while he loves the show, he’s not very good at playing video games. “It’s so sad, I don’t have any skills,” the actor said. “I tried, you know. And then it was only a matter of minutes before I had to hand it to my nephew. It really takes a specific type of skill, and I don’t have it.”

Although Pascal admired the game, he knew he didn’t want to imitate it perfectly either. “I found Joel so impressive – I found the whole of such an experience visually impressive,” he said. “And then I got worried about wanting to imitate too much, which I think might be right in some circumstances, and then wrong in others. So I just wanted to create a healthy distance, and for it to be more in the hands of [show co-writer] Craig Mazin and [game writer and show co-writer] Neil Druckman.”

“The Last of Us” was filmed in Calgary, Alberta in 2021, and HBO plans to release it in early 2023. Keep reading for everything we know about “The Last of Us,” including the soundtrack. -announcement and casting.
