James McCartney and Sean Ono Lennon have reunited to release a new song together, following in the footsteps of their world-famous fathers.
Paul McCartney and John Lennon’s sons collaborated on a song called Primrose Hill, released Friday (April 12) – and fans went crazy for the track.
Their father is remembered as one of the most powerful musical partnerships in music and it seems fans are equally impressed with the new duo of James and Sean.
The pair, who bear an uncanny resemblance to their fathers, co-wrote the song, which is a follow-up to James’ song Beautiful, which he wrote with Paul.
Sean, 48, is the second child of late icon John, while James is Paul’s only son and youngest child, whom he welcomed with his late ex-wife Linda Eastman.

James, 46, shared the news of the release on his Instagram on Friday, alongside a selfie of him and Sean looking strikingly like their parents.
He wrote: “Primrose Hill is here! Today I’m very excited to share my latest song co-written by my good friend @sean_ono_lennon.’
“With the release of this song, I feel like we’re really starting to get the ball rolling and I’m so excited to continue sharing music with you.”
James received support from his father, Beatles legend Paul, 81, who also shared the news of the song on his own social media page.
In a Facebook post, Paul wrote: “My son James has a new song out called Primrose Hill – listen to it!”
He also showed his appreciation for Sean and wrote, “And lots of love to Sean Ono Lennon who co-wrote the song.”
Fans also shared some love for the song, taking to X to share their views, writing: “I know I’m a little biased, but I just heard Ringo’s new single Starr, February Sky, as well as the new song Primrose Hill by James and Sean and I love BOTH tracks!

Fans also shared their love for the song, taking to X to share their views.

Noting the family resemblance, one said: “Sean Lennon and James McCartney together is so weird because they just look like slightly different versions of their dads and it freaks me out.”
Both James and Sean have worked as solo artists and this is the first time they have worked together in a collaboration.
Sean has been involved with several bands including Cibo Matto, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and The Claypool Lennon Delirium.
James has released solo albums and has also worked with his parents on projects.
It appeared on Paul’s 1997 album Flaming Pie as well as his 2001 record Driving Rain. He released Wild Prairie in honor of his mother after her death in 1998.
James marked his return to music this year by releasing the song Beautiful.

Beatles legend John was shot dead at the age of 40 by an unhinged fan, Mark Chapman, outside his New York home in 1980.
John left the Beatles in 1969 and became embroiled in legal battles over the band’s catalog, which caused tension between him and his former songwriting partner, Paul.
They got their friendship back on track in the mid-1970s and Paul spent time at the house John shared in New York with his second wife Yoko Ono.
He admitted he would have been devastated if he hadn’t had the chance to mend the cracks in his relationship with John before he was killed.
Paul said on the McCartney: A Life in Lyrics podcast: “Ultimately it was something that I was very happy about, when he was murdered, having had some really good times with him before that. doesn’t happen.
“It would have been the worst thing in the world if he had just been killed and we still had a bad relationship. It would have been a big guilt trip for me.
“Luckily we were friendly, talking about how to make bread.
“You have to remember I took him to court, I took his friends from Liverpool, lifelong friends, to court. There’s a lot to overcome.
