Patriots stun Jets in seconds with first TD punt return of NFL season – Yahoo Sports

For 59 minutes and 45 seconds of the game clock, the New York Jets and New England Patriots spent their turns eating their own boogers and rolling in mud. It was fourth down and the game looked like it was headed for overtime when the first touchdown was scored.

Patriot rookie cornerback Marcus Jones returned a punt for a touchdown with just 5 seconds left, sealing a 10-3 victory for the game and, more importantly, happily ending the game for everyone present. .

Both defenses played out of their minds the entire game and an outburst from the special teams ended up being the difference between these two teams. On a cold and windy day in Foxborough, the defense and special teams reigned supreme. A strong touchdown on a fairly calm day for anyone who played on offense. The AFC East still looks safe in the hands of the Dolphins and Bills right now.
