The Patriots were able to snatch a victory from their helmet, thanks to a winning punt return for a touchdown by rookie Marcus Jones against the Jets on Sunday. While New England picked up a win to make it 6-4 this season, they can go the rest of the way without one of their stalwarts on the attacking side of the ball.

New England starting center and captain David Andrews fears he may have suffered a season-ending thigh injury, according to NFL Media. The 30-year-old veteran is expected to undergo further tests to determine the extent of the injury, but early signs suggest he will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Andrews was injured in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over New York. Mac Jones fell back on a second-and-8 play in the final minutes of the period and delivered a screen pass to running back Rhamondre Stevenson. Andrews gave an initial block, but appeared to be hit from behind and fell to the ground hard. He was then unable to put much pressure on his leg and needed help to get to the touchline and was eventually helped into the locker room. He did not return to the game.

It’s the latest illness that has plagued Andrews this season. He had missed the previous two games with a concussion and was making his return to action in Week 11. Now James Ferentz, who played in his absence, could be the New England center at the future.

Meanwhile, the Patriots’ O line looks to be pretty screwed up as it’s now running on a short week with a Thanksgiving game against the Vikings on the horizon. In addition to Andrews, tackle Isaiah Wynn, who started at left tackle in place of Trent Brown, left the game in the first half after suffering a foot injury. According Athleticismhe should also run out of time.
