But when the name of a 57-year-old boxer was mentioned on a popular podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar took a long pause.

“I’m afraid of Mike Tyson,” Mahomes said on Impaulsive with Logan Paul and IShowSpeed.
Mahomes discussed a ton of things as he engaged in a relaxed and fascinating conversation, sitting comfortably on a couch while wearing a sparkling Prime channel around his neck.
Among the topics covered by the three-time Super Bowl champion and MVP: Aaron Rodgers, conspiracy theories, his voice, whether Brady is really the GOAT and a Chiefs trio.
But Mahomes saved his best and biggest shot for last.
The new face of the NFL broke down the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Tyson fight, which immediately went viral and continued to dominate the sports news cycle.
Jake, a YouTube and social media star, is scheduled to face Iron Mike in the ring on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The heavyweight bout will feature eight two-minute rounds, fighters will use 14-ounce gloves, will be included in professional boxing records and will be streamed live on Netflix.
Tyson was once the heavyweight champion of the world and one of the most popular athletes on the planet.

But fan reactions have been wide-ranging, with some predicting Tyson would destroy Jake, and others insisting Iron Mike has been over for years.
Jake is favored and 30 years younger than his opponent.
Mahomes was definitely involved in the match and specifically talked about how Jake should handle one of the most powerful boxers in the history of the sport.
“If Jake can drag the fight out a little longer, he’s going to win,” Mahomes said confidently. “But if he gets hit the wrong way, it won’t be good for him.”
Logan nodded in agreement.
Mahomes then teased that he might train in the Dallas area closer to the fight date.
The 28-year-old QB has already been selected to six Pro Bowls and won two NFL MVPs.
Mahomes recently led Kansas City to a thrilling overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, which ended with teammate Travis Kelce kissing Taylor Swift on the field.

The QB, who could have played in Major League Baseball, lent his Super Bowl rings to Logan at a recent WWE game in Kansas City.

The biggest boxing match of the year clearly has Mahomes’ attention.
He respects Tyson’s power and is “afraid” of the legendary boxer.
But the reigning Super Bowl MVP also knows how Jake can beat Iron Mike in a historic match that will be broadcast around the world.
