British MMA fighter Paddy Pimblett proved he’s not just a star at home by taking the latest UFC card on his trip to San Diego.

The 27-year-old appears to be on the verge of stardom after picking up three stoppage wins and a legion of new fans since joining the UFC in 2021.

Paddy Pimblett went 3-0 in the UFC last month

After beating Jordan Leavitt in two rounds at UFC London last month, ‘The Baddy’ took a trip to the States with teammate and friend Molly McCann.

Along with enjoying plenty of food, the Liverpudlian also watched fights and was present when Marlon Vera brutally knocked out Dominick Cruz at UFC San Diego on Saturday night.

Despite that epic knockout, the highlight of Pimblett’s night was surely when he walked into the sold-out 12,000-seat PechangaArena and the fans in attendance began chanting his name.

The lightweight prospect danced and cheered as chants of “Oh, Paddy the Baddy” ripped through the arena in wild scenes that are unusual for a young, non-American fighter who is unranked.

Clearly, American fight fans love Pimblett and they’ll be happy to hear that when he returns to action later this year, it will be in the United States, in the fight capital of the world.

“I think I’m going to fight in [Las] Vegas. That’s what I hope anyway. I saw there was a card scheduled for Dec. 10,” Pimblett said backstage at UFC San Diego.

‘The Baddy’ seemed to be having a great time at UFC San Diego

Before that, the fan favorite has some work to do as his post-fight junk food binge left him 45 pounds over the lightweight limit.

“About 200 pounds,” Pimblett replied when asked about his weight.

“When I get a little older and start fighting ranked opponents, I’ll maintain my weight, but for now I like to put a little friction.”

Pimblett declined to speculate on who his next opponent will be, but insists he’s ready to fight anyone as he continues his journey to the top 15 lightweights and achieves his ultimate goal of becoming a UFC champ.
