Paddy McGuinness is dropped from six-figure food advertising deal with M&S as Top Gear presenter deals with fallout from marriage breakdown
Marks & Spencer has removed Paddy McGuinness from its food adverts as the Top Gear presenter deals with the fallout from his marriage breakdown.
The artist was hired by the high street giant in 2018 alongside Amanda Holden, Emma Willis and Rochelle Humes to present a series of television campaigns.
Now stars such as Dame Kelly Holmes and Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke have been hired as part of the store’s latest food range push.
Mr McGuinness, 49, had been an ambassador for M&S’s Christmas and summer advertising campaigns, in which he appeared with fellow TV star Emma Willis.
He reportedly pocketed a six-figure sum from the deal.

It has also featured in a number of online videos posted on the M&S website. In one, he pointed out that the store’s deli was his go-to food choice. “My favorite is the antipasto snack platter – every bite tastes amazing,” he said.
Commenting on M&S’ decision, a source close to the star said: ‘Deals like this come to an end and new faces come in.’
Mr McGuinness, who replaced Sue Barker as host of BBC quiz show A Question Of Sport last year, announced in July that he had split from his wife Christine, aged 34 years old, after 11 years of marriage. In a joint statement, the couple said they separated “some time ago” but will continue to live together for the sake of their three children.
This followed reports that Mr McGuinness had been spotted kissing a TV presenter and had messaged another TV presenter on social media.
During his tenure as M&S ambassador, Mr McGuinness provoked comments after posting a series of Instagram photos of his favorite ‘meals’, including one which included a bizarre combination of cocktail sausages, Hula Hoops and a Wagon Wheel cookie .
