Trevor Noah has a message for Israel: “What is your responsibility?”
Daily Show host Trevor Noah spoke on Tuesday of recent tensions in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine – as much as could reasonably be done in the time it takes to boil an egg. Mosque in Jerusalem, nine children were among at least two dozen people killed in Israeli airstrikes, and Gaza militants fired their own rockets at Israel, killing three. On the one hand, as a topic that has puzzled even the best diplomats in the world, it is even more difficult to elucidate if no one can agree on where to start analyzing it. in Gaza, “then Israel is the bad guy, because they’re bombing Gaza,” Noah said. “But then you take a step back in time, and you say, ‘Well, but Hamas fired rockets at Israel.’ So Hamas is the bad guy. But then you step back and say, “But the Israeli police came in and started beating people in a mosque during Ramadan, the holiest time in the Muslim calendar.” Well, Israel is the bad guy. “MSNBC host challenges ex-Israeli ambassador over possible” war crimes “” And back and forth, and who knows how far. The first cavemen who hit each other with clubs were probably Israelis and Palestinians. I do not know. Noah went on to point out the relative superiority of the IDF due to its ability to produce high-end, high-tech weapons (in part thanks to US funding). “I just want to ask an honest question here,” said Noah. “If you’re in a fight where the other person can’t beat you, how badly should you hit back when they try to hurt you?” do i think i am smart enough to solve it.
