Sigourney Weaver Is Latest Hollywood Star To Head Down Under To Film Amazon Prime Series Alice Hart’s Lost Flowers
Hollywood heavyweight Sigourney Weaver is the latest movie star to head to Down Under to film a project amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 71-year-old Golden Globe winner will fly to Sydney later this year to film the original Amazon Prime drama, Alice Hart’s Lost Flowers.
The seven-part series is based on the international bestseller by Australian author Holly Ringland.

Weaver is best known for her role as Ellen Ripley in the Alien franchise.
Alice Hart’s Lost Flowers tells the fascinating and compelling story of a young girl, Alice Hart, whose violent childhood casts a dark shadow over her adult life.
The series will be produced by Bruna Papandrea (Penguin Bloom), the successful Australian director and Emmy winner.

She also played Dr Grace Augustine alongside Sam Worthington in 2009
Some of the world-famous actors – including film royalties George Clooney and Julia Roberts – are siding to capitalize on generous government grants meant to boost Australia’s fledgling film industry.
Clooney and Roberts’ romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise will transform the Whitsunday Islands from Queensland to Bali, while other places in the state will be transformed in the United States.
In March, Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell were due to shoot Thirteen Lives of Ron Howard in Queensland.

Currently in production in Sydney, the new film Thor: Love and Thunder, starring Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Matt Damon and Russell Crowe.

It also comes from the news that the new installment in the Max Max franchise will also be filmed in New South Wales.
