Paul Scholes has seemingly admitted he was wrong about Manchester United’s new signing Antony.

The United legend has slammed the Brazilian winger and Jadon Sancho for their performances in the 3-2 Europa League win over Omonia Nicosia.

Scholes called Antony a “one-trick pony” after last week’s narrow victory.

But the 22-year-old then scored a few days later in the win over Everton.

He has been in top form in the Premier League, scoring in his first three games for the Red Devils.

And an Instagram user was quick to highlight the 47-year-old’s comments with a photo of the former Ajax star.

Scholes reposted it with the comment: “Oops.”

The Man United legend elaborated on comments from Erik ten Hag who said his wingers were ‘static’ in the game.

After that game, pundit Scholes told BT Sport: “He was right that the wingers were static. Sancho never really runs behind. He needs a quick left-back if he’s playing on the left, he needs a striker to connect with. They don’t really have that at the moment.

“Antony on the other side too, he’s not running behind. He seems like a bit of a one trick pony.

“He always cuts inside and passes to the back or has a shot. You think he needs to develop a bit. It’s still early for him, we know.
