OnePlus has brought the OxygenOS 11 update to its OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series. Both of these ranges were updated to Android 11 in March, however, a few bugs still existed in the update. The company then sent out a patch release in April to resolve the bugs. Now, the latest update brings several system improvements and other optimizations to smartphones. The version of the new update is OxygenOS 220.127.116.11 and it also brings the Android security patch until June 2021.
According to changelog shared on the official OnePlus forum, the new OxygenOS 18.104.22.168 update has been rolled out for the regions of North America, India and Europe. Some of the improvements in the new update include reduced power consumption, better handling of overheating control, smooth playback of high definition videos, and more. Several bugs like the crash of the File manager app, blurry camera issue when shooting full screen, overall camera stability and dialer UI display effect have also been fixed.
OxygenOS 22.214.171.124 is a staged deployment, which means that it will be accessible by a number of users to check its stability. Once they make sure there are no critical bugs, it will be extended to a larger group of users, accordingly.
Users can check if they have received the update by going to the Settings app and clicking “System Updates” in the “System” menu. If they haven’t received the update yet, they have to wait a few days and it should appear.
A key fact to consider is that using a VPN to download the update may not work because the deployment is not location-based, OnePlus explains.
The latest update from OnePlus included Oxygen OS 126.96.36.199, which fixed Google Fi SIM issues, improved performance and optimization of Shelf and Gallery apps, fixed phone and camera bugs, and included the May 2021 Android security patch.
