Nov 24 (Reuters) – Oil flows to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline via Ukraine were restored on Thursday evening after a suspension earlier in the day, Slovakia’s economy ministry said in a statement.
“Oil is currently being transported to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline from the Ukrainian side. Oil supply to Slovakia was briefly interrupted this afternoon due to urgent work on the electricity system in Ukraine,” it said. the ministry in a statement.
Flows to the Czech Republic continued as normal, the RIA Novosti news agency said, citing a spokesperson for operator MERO. The supply was not interrupted earlier because the pipeline carrying oil from Slovakia to the Czech Republic was not affected by power cuts in Ukraine.
