The Ohio State basketball program officially announced the addition of former Oklahoma State guard Isaac Likelele on Monday.
With so many changes and departures from the program due to NBA graduation changes and transfer portal departures, the Buckeyes have been very active in the transfer portal themselves this offseason. The guard was a spot that was considerably thin due to guys like Malaki Branham, Meechie Johnson and Jamari Wheeler leaving the program.
To meet the need for more ballhandlers, Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann and staff came out and attracted transfers Tanner Holden, Sean McNeil and Isaac Likekele. And while the last of them is unlikely to fail, the program officially announced the addition in a tweet from the Ohio State Hoops Twitter account.
🧊 Welcome to Buckeye Nation Ice‼️
Isaac Likekele officially joins Ohio State after spending the last 4 years at Oklahoma State where he became the only player in program history to rack up 1000+ points, 600+ rebounds and 400+ assists. pic.twitter.com/mesTJkyKla

Likekele is expected to provide immediate relief to the State of Ohio. He’s a veteran and versatile player who can play point guard or swing forward when needed. He racked up over 1,000 points, over 600 rebounds and over 400 assists during his time at Stillwater, and should be able to capitalize on that this winter.
Welcome to Buckeye Nation Isaac. We can’t wait to see what you will bring to the shores of Olentangy for the 2022-2023 season.
