Octavia Spencer loves the holidays.
The “Truth Be Told” star is on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday, and the host wondered what time she started decorating for Christmas.

“I decorate the day after Halloween,” she revealed. “I called him Give Thanks for Christmas. Because you can use your Halloween pumpkins in your cornucopias, as long as you don’t make them Jack’O’Lanterns.
She added, “It’s Thanksgiving in the front and Christmas in the back.”
Spencer also said his tree is still in his garage. “I don’t make real trees anymore, I just spray the scent,” she said, adding that she was putting it in place and decorating the tree after Halloween.

DeGeneres also asked about rumors that Spencer’s house is haunted.
“I bought this house, and it belonged to a guy who made westerns,” she said. “I think he’s my protector. I like it, because it sort of sorts out the bad people that shouldn’t be there. He chases them away.
She continued, “If they stay with me, they don’t want to come back. And that’s how I know they don’t belong here.
