No injuries have been reported after a huge fire in an apple orchard in Durham region on Sunday.
The fire started at the Algoma Orchards food market in Clarington, Ontario.
“Our dear orchards in Algoma suffered a loss early this morning,” read an article on the company’s Facebook page.
“However, the installation is safe and the damage was contained in the backyard. Our sincere thanks to all the emergency responders, firefighters, police and paramedics, who worked tirelessly to contain the fire. “
We do not know what started the fire.
Images of the scene showed a huge plume of smoke on the installation during the fire.
Roads have been closed in the area, but have since reopened.
