Niners general manager John Lynch ‘received no’ trade offers for Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk Friday – NFL.com

Aiyuk is seeking an extension, and reports and rumors that he could be traded have been abundant for weeks. Samuel’s name was more recently added to the mix.

When the 49ers selected Pearsall out of Florida late in Friday’s first round, it only heightened the intrigue around moving Samuel or Aiyuk, with the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots among the suitors named.

While Lynch seemed to tamp down trade talk Friday night, Thursday night’s post-draft press conference had a slightly different tone, leading to plenty of buzz Friday morning.

Lynch and Shanahan each said they fielded calls and stressed that they always listen and will never shut the door.

“Never close the door on a trade,” Lynch said Thursday. “I mean, we’ll always listen and we have. But we love our band the way it is.”

“I thought it was unlikely, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen,” Shanahan said. “So, I mean, you listen to everything.”

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported Friday morning that there is definitely still a possibility of a trade with the 49ers. San Francisco moved its draft picks Friday, but didn’t move any of its standout wide receivers.

According to Lynch, they didn’t accept any of the offers they received, but at least it made for some fun in the second and third rounds.

Heading into day three of the draft, Brock Purdy’s top two targets are still on the roster, and it appears the trade rumors have calmed down.
