Although Nicki Minaj found legal success against Jennifer Hough, her husband, Kenneth Petty, cannot say the same.
Last year, Hough filed a lawsuit against Minaj and her husband Petty, who was convicted of sexually assaulting her in 1994. Petty was charged with emotional distress, harassment and intimidation of witnesses. Although the lawsuit against the Young Money rapper was dropped, the case against Petty was still active.
On Tuesday, Petty was ordered by a judge to settle his lawsuit against Hough, saying the case was going to mediation so the two teams could reach a settlement in the lawsuit.
According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the court noted, “The matter is referred to mediation annexed to the Court. The parties must select a mediator before 12/20/2022 and complete the mediation before 03/06/2023. The parties can participate in the mediation remotely.
He continued: “The parties are to file a joint status report two weeks after the mediation ends, but no later than 03/20/2023, whichever is earlier.”
Now that these two parties will meet for mediation, the only question left to answer is whether they will eventually come to a settlement that both parties will agree to.
