Nicki Minaj Takes Time for Some Family Time Before Pink Friday 2 Tour Stops in Chicago – HipHopDX

Nicki Minaj has been touring the country since early March, but she was able to take some time to spend with her family during a recent stop in Illinois.

Earlier this week, Queen Barb came through Chicago for two shows at the United Center on Wednesday (April 24) and Thursday (April 25) as part of her ongoing Pink Friday 2 Tour. Before taking the stage, she visited the Shedd Aquarium with her husband Kenneth Petty and their son, whom she commonly calls “Papa Bear.”

In a series of photos and clips uploaded to their Instagram, the trio can be seen enjoying their day by eating, walking around the establishment and observing the animals.

“Thank you to the wonderful people at the Chicago Aquarium today,” the caption read. “#PapaBear had a great time.”

Nicki Minaj’s current journey has been filled with explosive performances and unexpected appearances, and her stop in the Windy City was no different. During her two concerts, she shared the stage with G Herbo for a rendition of “Chi-Raq” as well as with Jeremih for “Favorite” and “Want Some More”.

Last month, the 41-year-old stopped in Philadelphia for a show at the Wells Fargo Center. During her set, the “Barbie World” hitmaker brought out local icons Freeway and the Young Gunz.

Likewise, Freeway also gave a shout out to Nicki and her supporting cast Monica on Instagram shortly after the show.
