Nicki Minaj had JT on the spot to recite her previous diss track directed at the Queen rapper, and fans are still upset about the City Girls rapper.
Long before she was featured on the “Super Freaky Girl” remix, JT was one of those rappers who was blacklisted by Minaj and her fans for a diss track she did about Minaj. The two rappers were on Instagram Live on Sunday when Nicki brought up the elephant in the room after JT said Nicki was one of his idols.
The rappers seemed to be in high spirits until Nicki Minaj asked him about the song, “…diss records about me when you were in the car. How’s that song going? Rap that song right now,” Nicki told JT. JT also forced her, “Nicki can’t rap to a fuckin’ beat. She’s not even from the streets,” JT said, then added that she didn’t know the rest of the lyrics. However, Minaj pushed her to continue.
“Nicki can’t rap to a fuckin’ beat. She ain’t even from the streets. I’m like a bag of groceries,” JT added.
Meanwhile, Minaj’s fans weren’t happy with JT and the lyrics, with many calling it out and some even disagreeing with Minaj for handing her the proverbial olive branch and putting her on one. greatest songs of his career.
JT, however, called out fans for trying to make the whole exchange look negative. “You guys are so crazy EYE wanted to repeat the song I made in my car! and we were LAUGHING the whole live like a phone conversation… we literally talked about everything and it was all laughs,” he said. she declared.
In other tweets, she also said the diss was a freestyle from 2017 that she couldn’t remember.
Despite the criticisms, Nicki Minaj tweeted her support for JT and promised to continue to support her.
“Dude f*** these DUDS, baby. Everyone on the live KNOWS how DOPE it was from start to finish. We were having fun, we were silly. It’s a little freestyle she was crafting on top of his head in his car,” she said.
“Since you keep trying to pull her down, I go CRAZY for her. WATCH,” Minaj added.
Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj said she wouldn’t be working with City Girls because of their previous diss track.
In February, Minaj said in a Morning Hustle interview that Minaj said that even though the women were talented, she wouldn’t work with them because of their past comments.
“…a few years ago I saw a video of them and asked someone on their team at the time about them…I was thinking of jumping on one of their records that had come out,” Minaj said, referring to a breakfast interview where the two artists said they were on Cardi’s team (in full jam with Nicki Minaj).
“I’m not going to dinner anymore because now I know I like you but you don’t really like me so you know it’s just a human way to feel if you hear someone say things about you not just one thing but repeated things, repeated tweets for years,” Minaj added.
