The track is one of many remixes the “Queen” rapper has jumped on this year. The 40-year-old joined Kim Petras for the remix of “Alone,” as well as connecting with Ice Spice on “Princess Diana.”
Today (May 26), Minaj and Red surprised fans with ‘Pound Town 2’. In an Instagram post, Sexyy Red wrote, “Thank you [Nicki Minaj] I appreciate you so much for blessing my trail. It’s major. I am so humbled and grateful.
Fans who subscribed to Minaj’s newsletter received an email from the Queens star telling them about how she met Sexyy Red: “I met Sexyy Red [and] I found her so down to earth and sweet.
“I couldn’t agree on this song at first, but once I let go [and] I decided to have fun with a bad female dog, I ended up loving how it turned out!

Also in the newsletter, Minaj teased upcoming plans live, writing, “While waiting for my next official move, I wanted to give you a small amount that I know we’ll be doing on tour.”
She also called Sexyy Red “really unique” and “authentic”.
On Sunday, May 21, the record-breaking rapper teased the lyrics to the new track on Twitter, writing, “He likes feet / Sucks that camel toe.”

“Pound Town 2”, produced by Tay Keith, is Nicki Minaj’s second release from her new label, Heavy On It Records, following the remix of “Princess Diana”.
