Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion have found themselves embroiled in online beef rumors after fans began to speculate that the artists had fallen out over songs.
YouTube channel Empressive has claimed the track Gift & A Curse on Megan Traumazine’s new album presents a swing to Nicki.
In the first verse of the track, Megan raps:
Fix your face, bitch, you hurt, hurt, hurt
Anything that talks don’t make me nervous
Feel, lay them perkys
Empressive and a number of fans have claimed that the phrase “feelin’ yourself” refers to Nicki’s 2014 track Feeling Myself.
Some Fans Claim Nicki’s Super Freaky Girl Remix Swings Megan
The beef rumors were further fueled after Nicki released Super Freaky Girl (Roman Remix) on Thursday, August 18. The remix features Nicki’s alter ego, Roman Zolanski.
In the remix, Nicki/Roman also dropped a new third verse:
Nobody wanna hear that weak shit, ho
In the game, fifteen, it ain’t peak yet, ho
Tell that fool to take a chair, she was arrogant, I could swear
Until my old tape sells more than your album, drop a tear
Genius alleges the line refers to Nicki’s previous claim that her mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty outsold Megan’s 2021 compilation album Something For Thee Hotties.
Meanwhile, Chart Data reports that Megan’s Traumazine is heading for a top five:
Nicki’s Super Freaky Girl, meanwhile, sold over 100,000 units in its first week in the United States. The rapper also managed to extend his record of having the most number-one songs in US iTunes history.
On Twitter, a number of users were left baffled by an alleged beef, with one person Tweeter“What am I missing?! Why are things about to hit the fan?! What’s about to get ugly and why?”

In 2019, Megan and Nicki collaborated on the former’s hit track Hot Girl Summer. Following the song’s release, the Houston rapper was asked if their collaboration would keep him from working with fellow rapper Cardi B.
“I really, really, really love them both,” Megan told E!’s Daily Pop. “They are two different people, two different rappers. It’s not even the same thing.
