Nick Chubb’s season may be over after a gruesome second-quarter knee injury knocked him out of the “Monday Night Football” showdown between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. Chubb was carted off the field immediately after his injury, receiving plenty of applause from the Pittsburgh faithful who were happy to see that he was okay after what happened.
Chubb received a lot of support on social media following his injury, starting with LeBron James.
James was playing in Cleveland when Chubb was drafted by the Browns in 2018, both becoming star athletes in the city. Chubb also received a lot of support from his NFL brothers.
The knee injury Chubb suffered is the same knee injury Chubb suffered in Georgia in October 2015. That day, Chubb tore his MCL, PCL and LCL with cartilage damage while dislocating his left knee. He was able to recover from that to become the first NFL running back to average 5.0 yards per carry or more in five consecutive years.
The NFL world is calling on Chubb while he awaits his official diagnosis. Chubb has battled adversity with his left knee before and will need to do so again to return to the level that defined his NFL career.
