The actor, 56, who himself stars in the upcoming film, could be seen getting behind the wheel of an open-top silver Porsche as his co-star sat next to him during filming.
Narcos star Pedro, 45, appeared to either pass out or sleep in the passenger seat as he sat next to Nicolas as he walked through the streets of Dubrovnik.

In accordance with COVID-19 safety precautions, crew members were seen wearing protective masks as they hovered over actors with umbrellas in the rain.
Hollywood actor Nicolas cut a relaxed figure for his time in front of the cameras, donning a striped short-sleeved shirt, while Pedro was seen wearing a brown shirt.
During Monday’s filming, Pedro could be seen brandishing a gun he was holding aloft as Nicholas covered his ears to mask the sound of the gunshot.

The actor also has a back-and-forth with a haughty 1990s character who berates him for a lackluster recent credit list and for letting his star run out.
Also dragged down by growing debt, Nicholas’ character is pushed to appear at the birthday party of a Mexican billionaire who is also a fan of his work and wants to share a screenplay he wrote with him.

After spending time with the man, the CIA informs Cage that the billionaire is actually a kingpin in the drug cartel who kidnapped the daughter of a Mexican presidential candidate.
The US government then recruits him to gather intelligence on the kingpin.
This leads to a series of events, including one in which the criminal brings the actor’s daughter and his ex-wife for reconciliation – leading Nicholas to fight tooth and nail for their lives.
The unbearable weight of massive talent will include references to the star’s past films including Leaving Las Vegas, Face-Off and Gone in 60 Seconds.

He will also carry a similar tone to his film Adaptation, Jean-Claude Van Damme’s JCVD meta-film and John Travolta’s Get Shorty.
Nicholas is a producer alongside Kevin Turen, who produced the recently released drama Waves as well as HBO’s Euphoria.
According to sources via The Hollywood Reporter, the script for the film was presented to Nicholas as a “ love letter ” to him as opposed to a parody, making the actor fall in love with the idea.
The publication also reports that interest in the project was so high that Nicholas will likely be matched at the level he was for his blockbusters like Con Air and National Treasure.
