The NFL investigation into the Washington football team has sparked much speculation as to its findings and implications. On Friday morning, that sparked a skirmish over a reported recommendation and the league’s denial.
According to 106.7 The Fan in DC, the 130-page NFL report recommends owner Daniel Snyder be forced to sell the team.
The league denies this. According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, an NFL spokesperson calls the report “absolutely wrongAnd says the league has not received “any such report.”
Regardless of whether there is a hairline fracture or whether the report is indeed “absolutely bogus”, the investigation continues to weigh on the franchise and the league. Either way, it is essential that the NFL make the report and all recommendations fully transparent. The problems are too great and the lessons learned from the obvious misconduct in the organization (whatever the consequences) will resonate, or at least should, resonate in American workplaces.
