BitBank Adds Three Additional Asset Pairs
Japan’s BitBank exchange has given details this week on three more upcoming trading pairs. The platform initially unveiled the new pairs in late April. On May 24, BitBank will complete a four-hour offline upgrade to put the pairs into play.

Bitpoint Announces Fiscal Year Financial Statements
Bitpoin’s fiscal year ended on March 20, 2020, showing total sales 44.4% lower than the previous year. The company ended the year with operating losses in the red, although the outfit suffered fewer total losses than the previous year.
Bitpoint was hacked in July 2019, bleeding $ 2.3 million in the process. The hack led to a temporary closure of the exchange, followed by a reopening in stages, resuming full service in December 2019. In total, the trial proved to be costly for the company, contributing to the overall losses of the ‘exercise.
The exchange also announced plans for new Know Your Client, or KYC, new interfaces and new resources. In addition, Bitpoint plans to recall its international efforts, focusing on its domestic efforts.
Bitpoint adds 2019 hacking data
Bitpoint has released additional information regarding the hacking it suffered in 2019. No evidence of unauthorized access has been reported, which means that someone may have stolen private keys from digital assets via the maintenance server.
“It is quite possible that the maintenance server was hacked and hacked,” said a Bitpoint ad, covered by Cointelegraph Japan. The announcement added:
“Although it was encrypted, it was compromised by the wallet server, the private key was leaked, and most of the cryptographic assets managed by the hot wallet were leaked.”
Authorities are continuing an ongoing investigation into the piracy. Bitpoint moved to a cold wallet transaction after the breach.
