Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy was visibly delighted when he heard the Champions League anthem against AC Milan.
The Magpies play their first Champions League match in 20 years at San Siro, live on talkSPORT, with the clash currently goalless.

Eddie Howe’s side qualified for the illustrious competition thanks to their fourth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
And they have been drawn into this year’s ‘Group of Death’, with Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund as other opponents.
It was Milan who were up first for the Magpies, and Murphy was named in the starting XI.
As he lined up on the pitch before kick-off, he had a beaming smile on his face as the iconic Champions League anthem blared.


It was certainly a wholesome moment and Newcastle fans on social media shared their joy with one on X saying: “Jacob Murphy was all of us in that moment.”
“Jacob Murphy is ALL OF US!” added another as reality sunk in.
A third said: “Look, no matter what, we’re all Jacob Murphy. »
Murphy had never played European club football before his trip to San Siro.
