Channel 10 confirmed this week that longtime Studio 10 host Sarah Harris will replace Carrie Bickmore on The Project.
Carrie, 41, announced her shock departure from the current affairs show in October after 12 years on the air.
The network confirmed on Wednesday that Sarah, 41, will replace Carrie as host of The Project alongside Waleed Aly five nights a week.

Channel Ten has also confirmed that Hamish Macdonald will remain on the desk every Friday and Sunday night while Georgie Tunny will join the panel every Friday night.

The announcement comes after Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar shocked viewers this week when they both announced their departure from the struggling current affairs programme.
Peter, 47, announced he was leaving The Project on Tuesday evening and explained that he had decided to quit following the departure of his co-host Carrie.
“Carrie, you recently said you were happy to leave The Project when you still love it and I still love the show. Really,” he explained.
‘The project means a lot to me. He did amazing things for me. I interviewed Luke Skywalker once…and I can’t wait to see what the show will be like in the future.
The announcement comes after Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar (pictured) shocked viewers this week when they both announced their departure from the struggling current affairs programme.
He also told Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa on Wednesday that he wanted to “do things with my life professionally and personally.”
‘[There are] things I want to do with my life, not just professionally but personally and I have already booked into the ashes in London next year,” he said.
“It’s not just 10 years on The Project. But before that, it’s like 10 years on Rove Live in the office every day.

The embattled TV presenter, 62, made the shock admission at the end of Sunday night’s episode, leaving viewers stunned.
“I’ve decided it’s time to re-prioritize some things in my life,” the TV veteran began alongside co-hosts Hamish Macdonald and The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne.
“And after almost 15 years of early breakfast television alarm, and now another five years here at the project office, I look at how I want the years to come to unfold both professionally and personally.
Lisa’s exit comes after a controversial year for the TV presenter, in which she was taken off the air following her disastrous Logies speech which led to the postponement of a rape trial.

Meanwhile, Carrie announced her departure from The Project after 12 years on the air in October.
She had been away for three months with her family in London earlier this year, before returning to the panel in July, only to step down in October.
Carrie will leave Channel 10 altogether after finishing this month, making her next career move unclear.
