The chance for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to introduce themselves Spider-Man 3 is everything Spidey fans have been talking about since we learned in October that Jamie Foxx was reprising his electro role from The incredible Spider-Man 2. It teased that some multiversal crossovers were on the way, which became even more likely when Benedict Cumberbatch joined in.

Now, an official Sony video appears to further suggest the possibility of a live-action Spider-Verse event in the film. The recently released clip (which has since been deleted), titled “The 3 Spider-Man Together,” asked fans, “Who is your favorite Spider-Man?” He then revealed, “You don’t have to choose – in the Marvel Multiverse, anything can happen.”

The video, which was filed under “News,” added that “in Spider-Man 3 you’ll probably see everyone – yes – the three Peter Parkers saving the world together. Images from the Sam Raimi trilogy, the Unbelievable movies and Spider-Man: Far From Home was then used to illustrate this point and the promotion ended with the promise that we “will know more very soon”.

It’s definitely exciting for fans, but it looks like the channel may have jumped the gun on an embargo with this one. As we mentioned above, after people started to notice the video and share it online, it got deleted from YouTube. Was it deleted because Sony is about to make a big official announcement and the team at Lationamerica accidentally got carried away? May be.

Holland is already on its knees on the set of Spider-Man 3, so if there was a Spider-Verse event going on, Maguire and Garfield might have to start work soon. As such, it would make sense for Sony to properly advertise its involvement before finding out through grainy pictures. For now, however, we’ll just have to wait and see what comes out of it.
