No Time To Die marks the swan song of Daniel Craig as James Bond

The release of the new James Bond film has been delayed by seven months as the coronavirus continues to spread.

The producers said they had moved the release of No Time To Die from April to November after “careful consideration and a thorough evaluation of the world theater market”.

The announcement comes days after the founders of two 007 fan sites called on film studios to delay its release.

It will now be released in the UK on November 12 and in the United States on November 25.

No Time To Die, which is expected to be the last appearance of Daniel Craig as a British secret service agent, was due to be released on April 3.

The world premiere was to take place on March 31 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

“One person, who doesn’t even show symptoms, could infect the rest of the public,” the founders of MI6 Confidential and The James Bond Dossier wrote on Monday.

“It’s not the type of publicity that anyone wants.”

Bond’s latest film Specter cost the box office world nearly $ 900 million (£ 690 million) when it was released in 2015.

Some film analysts have suggested that the coronavirus could wipe out $ 5 billion (£ 3.8 billion) from the global box office, with many Chinese cinemas already closed and revenues affected in South Korea and Italy.

The fan letter added, “This is just a movie. The health and well-being of fans around the world and their families is more important.

“We have all waited over four years for this film. A few more months will not damage the quality of the film and will only help the box office for Daniel Craig’s last hurray.”
