New Ford F-150 2021 released after the last spy shots

If you hadn’t heard it, the trucks are all the rage right now and Ford isn’t about to be left in the dust amid growing competition. The Dearborn automaker is preparing a refresh for the famous F-150 pickup. It’s the best-selling vehicle in the United States, and Ford would like to keep it that way. The spy photos of the updated model don’t show much change from the F-150 that is on sale today. While the changes should be minimal, new renderings from our friends at Kolesa.ru show us what the truck might look like when it arrives later this year.

The most significant change is at the front where Ford installs a new grille and new headlights. If the new F-150 is like the old F-150, there should be a plethora of different grids available depending on the trim and packaging of the truck. However, the one we saw looks like the birthplace of the new Ford Ranger, which is the grille used in renderings.

The new grille is surrounded by redesigned headlights and a reworked lower fascia. The spy photos showed the daytime running lights extending from the headlights to the fog lights in the redesigned front bumper, and this feature is present in the renderings with the new side mirrors.

At the back, the changes are even more difficult to identify, although our spy photos don’t show much difference. The rear lights have a new design, although changes to the tailgate or bumper are not visible. However, neither is likely to change much – there are only so many ways to design a tailgate.

One area that the renderings do not show is the interior. We don’t have a lot of information on this, but it should look like what’s on the truck today. There could be a new infotainment screen or, at a minimum, Ford’s latest infotainment system.

The new Ford F-150 2021 will look a lot like the current model. This is an evolutionary step for the truck, which has already undergone a refresh in 2018 after its introduction in 2015. It will inaugurate the F-150 hybrid before the arrival of an all-electric in a few years.
