WWE wrestlers have been playing Marvel/DC roles to perfection recently, and the movie industry might trust wrestlers with superhero roles. After seeing Dave Bautista play Drax, Dwayne Johnson play The Rock, and John Cena play Peacemaker, there seems to be an increasing number of wrestlers heading to Hollywood to play heroes. And another name would have been added to the credits of Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther Wakanda Forever is one of the biggest movies to be released this year. Not only is the film a sequel to the previous outing, but also a farewell to the late great actor, Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther in the previous films. Marvel fans and the general public have been waiting for this movie ever since it was announced. And looking at box office numbers and numbers, the movie didn’t disappoint. But playing a role in the film is a great honor and this WWE Superstar was also looking to put his name on the books.

The WWE star tried for a role in Black Panther Wakanda Forever
According to Sean Sapp, Damian Priest attempted to enter the film. But as he said, “Sources close to the situation say Damian Priest was asked to read for the role of Namor. One of the most prominent roles in the film, or one of the other featured members of Talokan. We have not heard if the reading actually took place, but an investigation has been made.”

Damian Priest is one of the up-and-coming young talents who recently moved from NXT to the main roster. He is part of the Judgment Day faction, which is the largest on Monday Night Raw. While his wrestling skills are definitely worth watching, he still has room to improve his mic skills and acting skills. So it’s no wonder he didn’t get the role in Black Panther Wakanda Forever.
One of the biggest roles in the film was Namor, the king of Talokan and the film’s antagonist. The role was to be hotly contested, as Marvel was looking for a Mexican actor to play the role. But Damian Priest, while being of Mexican descent, has no previous acting projects other than professional wrestling. So it’s no surprise that he didn’t get the role.
