Natalia Bryant reveals she cares about her late father Kobe Bryant with two necklaces
Natalia Bryant has revealed that she keeps her late father Kobe Bryant close to her heart with her everyday necklaces.
The 19-year-old model shared the special meaning of her jewelry in a video for Vogue’s Beauty Secrets which was posted on YouTube on Thursday.
“It’s a necklace that says ‘Slim’. That was my nickname growing up,” Natalia said, showing off the nameplate necklace during her makeup tutorial.

“I was so eensy-teensy. All my shirts said ‘Slim’ – I didn’t grow up in shirts until I was older so my dad always called me ‘Slim,’ Natalia said while doing reference to Kobe who died in a January 2020 helicopter crash that also killed his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.
Natalia also showed off a second gold medallion necklace she wore in honor of the Bryant Family’s Mamba and Mambacita Foundation.
“I actually carry this locket with me all the time,” Natalia said as she held the locket up to the camera.
She said the engraving reads: ‘Dedication makes dreams come true.’

The Mamba and Mambacita Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating positive impact for underserved athletes and boys and girls in sport.
Kobe gave himself the nickname “Black Mamba” after the poisonous snake while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and explained the self-proclaimed moniker to ESPN, saying, “The mamba can hit with 99% accuracy at maximum speed, in rapid succession”. That’s the kind of basketball precision I want to have.

He started the Mamba Sports Academy in 2018 after retiring from the Lakers after winning five NBA championships and being an 18-time All-Star.
Kobe and Gianna were on their way to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, Calif., for a basketball tournament with Gianna’s teammates and family friends when the helicopter crashed.
The late Lakers star and his wife Vanessa Bryant, 40, also have a five-year-old daughter, Bianka, and a three-year-old daughter, Capri.
